The Rotonde fountain, the Cours Mirabeau and its market

The Rotonde fountain has been enthroned since 1860 in the center of Aix-en-Provence. As you walk around it, discover the statues, lions, dolphins and swans that adorn it. A dreamlike decor! The Rotonde fountain is located at the bottom of the Cours Mirabeau and its avenue of plane trees where we invite you to the big market on Saturdays! It is the occasion to taste the products of Provence, to dress up and to find a small object at the adjoining flea market.

Visit the Hôtel de Caumont

The Hôtel de Caumont is a private mansion located a few steps from the Cours Mirabeau, in the heart of the Mazarin district. Enjoy the French gardens, enjoy a cup of tea in the Caumont café in an 18th century setting and discover its art center featuring temporary exhibitions by artists.

Play petanque in Tholonet while sipping pastis

The district of Tholonet, located near the Sainte Victoire (we'll come back to it later!), offers several petanque courts on its central square. Petanque ! More than a sport, it is a real art of living in the South of France which finds its apogee in spring and in summer. Between two "you shoot or you point?", enjoy a refreshing pastis on the terrace of the Relais Cézanne restaurant and spend time with friends under the plane trees.

Hike to the Sainte Victoire

The Sainte Victoire is a mountain that was sublimated in the 19th century by the Aix painter Paul Cézanne. Several hiking trails are proposed to reach the famous Croix de Provence, at 946 meters high. From there, admire the Provencal landscape with a 360° view, unforgettable!
